Any Notifiable Alteration carried out after May 1st 2002 on any trailer over 8 years old will require the complete trailer to be brought up to current specifications. This could result in substantial additional costs being incurred for any conversion. Therefore if you are considering having any trailers converted which fall into this category NOW is the time to act before the new regulations come into effect.
